My Mother Was Given A Very Low Dose Of Buspar

My mother was given a very low dose of Buspar and about six to eight hours later she had what I assume were side effects. Many drugs affect her the same way. Xanax, Diazapan, Ativan, to name a few. Her side effects are confusion, anxiety, dry mouth, slurred speech. She is in a nursing home and is 102, with a very alert mind. She is also completely blind. She has always had a problem with medication. I can empathize with here because I have the same reaction. The doctor at the nursing home says that the dosage is low and would be out of her system by the time her problems occur. I can't see taking a medication for anxiety if it is going to cause worse anxiety. The nurses say the medication is not the problem, but the only time these symptoms occur is after medication. Could I have your opinions?
