My partner had a liver resection for bowel ca mets. He is currently on Xeloda and oxiplatin IV. Has been getting periodic pain in abdo. Mainly at night - settled with Panadol. Scan shows ?no cancer but alot of inflammation. Now bloods show GGT level of 71. Pain disappears on his chemo free week! Any suggestions of cause. The liver resection was clean but had ? Bad splenic bleed a week post op. No intervention. Awaiting blood to be ?reabsorbed. Still a large clot evident around the spleen area. This all happened 3 months ago. No clear answers - can you help?
