My son is recently separated and now has a one bedroom apt. He is getting his 12 yr. old step-daughter every other w/e and they share a bed as only one room/bed. I think this is very unhealthy due to the hormone changes that occur at that age. I would like to have a professional's opinion on this? I think he should get an air mattress and if he wants to put it in the same room, that would be fine, but definitely should not be sharing a bed, esp. when she is so vulnerable right now! Her mother lets her sleep with her and often let her come into their bed when they were married too but i didn't agree with that either. Her mother says she has separation anxiety. Thoughts?
