My Son Rolled His Ankle On The Trampoline On Saturday.

My son rolled his ankle on the trampoline on Saturday. Today, (Tuesday) I took him to urgent care (not ER) because the school disregarded my parent note excusing him from PE. We've been RICE-ing since initial injury and when he got out of school his skin was pinkish around the ankle and he told me they had him running. X-ray appears to be fine (still waiting for radiology's official report), but he has a fever. The doc wasn't concerned with the fever despite the fact he has no other symptoms of illness. I tend to panic with kids illnesses (generalized anxiety). Is there any reason for my anxiety over the fever? Is it related to the injury? His brother had a head cold and ear infection 10 days ago that is finally clearing up. He had no fever until the ear was involved.

Thank you.
