Narcolepsy. Any Medication?

I live in Durango, Colorado. I have narcolepsy. My neurologist does not want to manage my narcolepsy. The pulmonologist only sees patients 4 days a month and I feel he is not available. The sleep study center in Durango told me I was the 2nd narcolepsy diagnosis since 1998. I am a ER RN. I feel that I want a MD that is more educated than I am on narcolepsy and the management of medication. Where are specialist in narcolepsy?

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
There is no specializations in narcolepsy. Although a few psychiatrists/neurologists do fellowship in sleep medicine and they are the best to take care of your illness. However the main treatment protocol still will remain the same i.e. weight loss, exercising, methylphenidate.
