I have gone through your query regarding discomfort in your neck an shoulder feeling of lump in throat during swallowing. You have also notice that this becomes better after taking soda.
Considering all aspect of your complaints it appears as you are suffering from GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease ). This disease is associated with hyperacidity this is the reasion that you feel better after taking soda.
Hello,
Thanks for you query.
Shoulder and neck discomfort can be due to mechanical stress/over use/tiredness. As far as problem in throat is concerned it can be a viral infection of larynx which hurts you during swallowing and caused neck and shoulder aches. Most of the viral infections are self limiting and resolve without medication, however, you need to take extra rest and drink plenty of fluids.
These symptoms can occur in anxiety and stress. If you are anxious about something or feeling stress then try to come out of it, keep yourself calm. Eat healthy nutrition and exercise regularly.
If symptoms persist, contact your doctor.
Hope it helps.
Take Care!
