Neck Pain, Headache And Vomiting. Prescribed Estosnine And Naxdan For Suspected Migraine. Correct Diagnosis?
Hi,I am working in a software firm and have neckache problem from many years this occurs once around once a month the because of neck ache i get severe head ache also this continues for a 1-2 hours and then I get 2-3 vomitings and I sleep when I wake everything is back to normal. This cycle has been going on continiously , i have tried alsorts of diagnosis and the doctors are saying its migraine, I am not sure of this because the pain is so severe that the pain killer tablets are also not helpfull. can you adivise what could be the reason, now the doctor has asked me to take estosnine daily and naxdan when I get the severe pain.
Welcome to HCM. Your symptoms are most likely due to migraine. There are some triggering factor,you have to be watchful for it. Avoid continuous sitting on chair,try to avoid work stress. Avoid oily,spicy and heavy diet,particularly at dinner time. Drink enough water and other liquids. Also go for ophthalmic check up. Long course of oral flunarizine will be helpful to reduce episodes. Nsaid,flunarizine and metoclopramide combination drug is available for migraine headache.Start it under guidance of your doctor. Keep in touch with your doctor.
