I stopped taking the pill in February of this year and had very erratic and short cycles the longest of which was 20 days, normally around 16 days each. Then send of August bordering september I had my first 29 day cycle but since then I finished my last period I the 6th of October. It is now the 10th of November. I have had three negative home pregnancy tests. This week I went for a pelvic smear and told my doctor who said it was nothing to worry about and that I should get a period soon. I have been having waves ov nausea on and off, irregular sleeping patterns, bloated and upset stomachs and terrible break ours on my face back and chest. Should I be worried about something or could I be pregnant and the tests just aren t showing a result?
Your symptoms of irregular bleeding, acne breakouts and mood changes represents hormonal imbalance.Ovarian cyst, hypothyroidism and insulin resistance are some of the causes of hormonal imbalance.
Pelvic ultrasound,Thyroid tests and blood sugar levels should be taken to identify the cause.
You may have to start at least a low dose hormonal treatment to regularise your cycles.Physical exercise will also reduce stress and help in correcting your hormone levels.
