hello doc, My wife urinalysis result give me confusion and her doctor said she has a STD. Color:yellow, Character: turbid, Reaction: 7.0 , Speific gravity: 1.010, albumen: trace , Sugar: negative, Amorphous urates: abundant, Mucus Thread: moderate, PUS cell:tntc, RBC: 50-60/hpf , Ephithelial cell: abundant... could it possible that she has only infection?!
Your wife is suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI). This is indicated by turbid appearance of urine and presence of pus cells, bacteria, epithelial cells, mucus threads etc in urine. She need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed. Ultrasound of abdomen can detect other associated pathology. At present she need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report. Hope i have answered your query. Get well soon.
