Need Medication For Throat And Ear Pain Due To An Infection

I have tonsil problem. I am suffering from throat infection and fever. I am taking crocin and dilosyn syrup from last 2 days. I cant see any improvement in throat pain, now, I can feel pain in my ears too. Which medicine shall I take for quick relief?

Hi dear ,

As per your query you have tonsillitis , sore throat along with fever and ear infection . Sometimes upper respiratory track infection when left untreated cause tonsillitis and ear infection , which spread through eustachian tube . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order test like throat swab test , and culture test , also doctor will examine ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( penicillin or amoxicillin ) at least for a week along with decongestants and mucolytic agent . For now do betadine gargles and give dry warm compresses to external ear . It is very important to keep your ear dry .
