My husband, age 79, has stage 3 CKD, has been on blood pressure cholesterol meds for many years, does not have diabetes, has just been diagnosed with H Pylori. He began a two-week treatment for H Pylori yesterday. Is it possible that ridding the body of the harmful bacteria will help to slow the advance of CKD? It seems to become more and more complicated to manage meds and life, as he feels ill more days than well. He has not smoked for over 30 years. Does not drink. Has had two mild strokes separated by 20 years.
