Need Medicine For Bleeding After Taking Postinor-2.
6days ago I took postinor2 and am meant to be ovulating but and bleeding. Ȋ̝̊̅ڪ it because of D̶̲̥̅̊ contraceptive. And why am I bleeding. Have done pregnancy test and its negative. Ȋ̝̊̅ڪ there any drug to take to stop the bleeding
Postinor tablets are emergency contraceptives. Because of high doses of hormones in them, they can interfere with reproductive hormonal levels and can affect the menstrual cycles. If you have taken the tablets in the first half of the menstrual cycle, that can lead to early onset of bleeding due to a withdrawal effect on endometrium. Possibly that might have occurred to you. If the bleeding is like your regular menstrual flow and not heavy, you can wait and watch for a few days and it may subside soon.
If the bleeding is heavy, with your gynecologist advice, you can take antifibrinolytic drugs which can help in controlling the bleeding. You have to maintain at-least two month gap between to emergency contraceptive pills to prevent menstrual disturbances.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
