New Born Is Large, Cries All Time, Has Colic, Jaundice, Acid Reflux. What Is Going On ?
My daughter had her first child 7wks ago. This little boy is large for his age over two ft and almost 12 lbs. Cries all the time. He had colic , jaundice, acid reflux and now they believe he is allergic to foods mommy is eating. What is going on? Our little Jack will be flying on a plane, to see his grandparents at the end of this month. How do we protect him from germs and ear problems on flight? Thank-you for your suggestion and advice. AAAA
You have not mentioned whether your grandson is being breast fed or top fed. Being a large for date baby he must be needing more feed which may be misinterpreted as colic. If his weight gain is adequate then we need not worry.
Yes, change in air pressure in the plane can cause inconvenience to the child. The best course would be to feed the baby as the sucking action would equalize the pressure in the middle ear and cause less discomfort.
You need not worry about the germs as these are present everywhere and should not be a cause for concern.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
