Night Sweats, Fluid Retention, Frequent Gain And Loss Of Weight. History Of Swelling In Legs With Pins And Needles And Pain. Thoughts?
I am a 39-year-old female. I have been experiencing night sweats for about a year and a lot of fluid retention - gaining or losing about 5lbs over the course of 2 days often, sometimes in just one day. 2 weeks ago, my lower left leg swelled right up and continues to swell every now and again. It has happened once with the other leg. In the meantime, I have had pins and needles and a sort of mild but deep muscle ache in my lower and upper left leg. It feels like the same location deep in the muscle each time. None of it is terribly painful but I want to deal with it in case it marks the start of something really bad. Please help!

Since you mentioned that swelling is over left leg ,but now it is also over right leg i.e. both legs are involved , may be a systemic reason.
Fluid retention & weight gain and loss may be due to .
1 Urinary system involvement ,so please get in kidney function test to rule out any urinary system disease. Serum creatinine level , urea ,uric acid level will find out the exact cause.
2 May be due to antigen antibody reaction i.e. urticaria ,so blood test is important.
3 May be due too hormonal imbalance due to 39 years old ( age related factors).
In my opinion consult Urologist and get his opinion and treatment .
