Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic
The medicines you are on are effective for alopecia areata. The rate of improvement is subjective and varies from person to person. In my experience it takes atleast 3 months for noticing good results. If you are noticing new patches or the present patch is enlarging in size you need to get back to your dermatologist.
In my experience intralesional steroid triamcinolone acetonide 10 mg per ml injection once in 3-4 weeks works beautifully.
Hope this helped
Take care
