No Periods Even 4 Days After Stopping OVARAL L Tablets. What To Do To Get Periods?

I had taken 8 OVARAL L tablets to postpone my monthly menstruation by a week as i had to travel to Bali for my Honeymoon. I stopped taking the Pills last friday. Its over 4 days and I am yet to get my monthly periods. My regular period cycle is last week of the month. Can you pls suggest an tablet to get my periods?

Hi and welcome to health care magic.

There are two possibilities in your case:

1. It may take upto seven days after stopping ovral L for periods to come. So wait for a few more days.
2. Pregnancy: If this has occurred [chances are low if you have started the pills in the latter part of the cycle after day 18-20] periods will be missed.

I suggest that you wait for a few more days for periods as this is most likely.

If they are still absent a urine pregnancy test is advised after 10-14 days of the missed period [ considering delayed ovulation and conception]. If the periods are still absent, other reasons for absent periods will need to be evaluated.

Do not worry wait for 4 more days, periods will most likely come.
