Hello Doctor, I received a report of obsterics USG : A single live intrauterine gestation seen. Fetal pole seen. Placenta was anterior.lower end touching the internal os. Crl 81.5 mm 14 weeks 1 days. Usg EDD 2/08/2014 Cervical length 42.5 mm.internal os is closed. My question:this sutuation in normal or no ? No risks for me or my baby? Thank you Doctor.
Hi, thanks for writing.. I understand your concern. The report is normal except that the placenta is low lying touching the internal os. So there is likelyhood of bleeding. Avoid travelling, lifting heavy weight, climbing stairs and having sex as it can provoke bleeding. Just take bed rest and healthy diet. A repeat scan need to performed after 1 month to know the status of placenta most cases it goes up by 20 week scan Hope I have answered your queries. Good day.
