Not Feeling Cold After Being Exposed To Very Low Temperatures. Is It A Problem?
I'm 18 years old, and I'm not sure if it's a problem or not -- But it seems that I can't shiver. I went to Alaska when I was 16 and spent 20 days on top of a Glacier in 20 degree F weather. Ever since then, It just seems that I can't shiver, even when I take icebaths or I turn the heat off for the shower. Is this a problem?
I understand your concerns. I do not believe that it is a problem to shiver when you take ice baths. It is normal to shiver when you are pouring water that is below your normal body temperature or the room temperature. I would recommend visiting with an endocrinologist if you have any other problems.
I hope this helped and I wish you the very best. Take care!
