hi v have a young healthy adult patient who underwent an arthroscopic acl reconstruction of the knee. routine microbiologic assessment of the drain tip revealed scanty growth of citrobactor. he is afebrile and on antibiotics sensitive to the cultured organism. anyone has a similar experience?
It can happen after reconstruction surgery. Nothing much to worry as it will respond well to antibiotics. As of now change antibiotics according to culture report.
