Noticed A Small Lump To The Right Where The Knee Cap Meet

On my right knee looking down at my feet just a 1/4 inch to the right of where my knee cap meets my upper thigh I seem to have a small lump when I bend my leg that gets harder as I flex my leg muscles. It causes excruciating pain doesn t feel like a cyst or anything of that nature it feels more like ligament or nerves what can I do to fix this or any ideas what is it?
