3days post hysterectomy now my uvula is badly damaged and hanging on my tongue and the back of my throat, it also causes my ears to hurt, everything I eat or drink hurts and taking pain pill on a empty stomach is no fun, question is also will the uvula return to its natural state? And how dangerous is this will I have to go back to the hospital?
Hi Mam, I have gone through your query; it suggests that you may be suffering from the referred otalgia due to the common nerve supply of both i.e. uvula and ear.
For your kind information- pain that originates outside the ear is referred otalgia.Sensory branches of the vagus and glossopharyngeal nerves supply upper aerodigestive tract mucosal areas such as the nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx, and larynx.
Thanks
