hello, i recently had unprotected sex and am having symptoms. it has been about 1 month since i had unprotected sex. i have already made an appointment to get a full std check tomorrow. however, for peace of mind, i found your website. i have been having numbness in my feet . about a week ago my skin on my palms began to peel. i have slight peeling on my toes. i did an internet search for std s related to numbness of the feet and peeling skin and found a wide variety of std s. what is the likelihood that it could be hiv?

There are many skin manifestations of STDs. However not all involve peeling of skin and that too in palms of hands and soles of feet.
HIV will not manifest so quickly to give you complications as described by you.
I suggest you cross your fingers and wait for STD test results. As for HIV you could get that tested as well.
Please remember to use condoms during sex next time.
