my husband and i recently got tested for stds together and mine can back positive for chlamydia and his came back negative we have been having unprotected sex and have been attempting to get pregnant our sexual activity has been the same very consistant alway unprotected...i went to the doctors and told them that during sex its been painful near the cevix and uterus and i have been having heart burn and nausea could i have been diagnosised with an std and instead be pregnant?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. The pain during sex (near cervix) indicates that you are having pelvic inflammatory disease. It might be caused by Chlamydia Trachomatis infection. Appropriate treatment will relieve your problem and increase your chances for conception. It is possible for your partner to remain negative for Chlamydia in spite of your unprotected intercourse. But it is better to give your partner also with a course of treatment for Chlamydia. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
