Numbness In The Tongue, Fainting Episode, Lightheadedness. Any Help?
My seventeen year old daughter just fainted for the first time. She did stand up but not quickly. Just before she passed out she was aware of a numb tongue which was still numb for a few minutes after she came too. When discussing this with her she mentioned she often gets a numb tongue when she stands up and is often light headed, but she has never fainted before. She is about 168cm and is 60kgs, eats fairly healthy.
Not at the time she fainted but one other thing we've noticed is that she almost never sweats but she gets very red in the face and overheats easily. This makes her thinking seem vague.
Any ideas?

your condition is related to neurology rather than ENT. Are the fainting attacks, associated with twisting of feet/hands, frothing from mouth, passing of urine/ stool ? How long the attack lasts? Ideally you should consult a neurologist and get a contrst enhanced CT scan of brain done.She sould avoid driving or leaning from heights as faint attack at thest actions can be dreadful.
