Occasionally Breathing Stoppage, Dizziness, Neck Pain, Nausea, Feeling Faint. Due To Nerve In Neck?
I have been catching myself not breathing while awake. I've read there is a nerve down the neck that controls this. A few years ago I crushed my collar bone and started having all these issues. Doctors tell me I have vertigo but I don't see that. When I'm having my problems, I can pop my neck and it gets better. I have dizzy issues, breathing and neck pain. Feelings of nausea and about to pass out. Could this be because of that nerve?
Breathing issues and dizzy spells can be caused by irritation of vagus nerve that runs down the neck. Other symptoms that can be caused by its irritation are nausea and stomach reflex. Neck pain may be the trigger for vagus nerve irritation.
