Old Aged, Severe Lung Infection, Mild Cardiomegaly. What Treatment And Care To Be Taken?
Dear Sir, My grand-mother is 70 years old and by the recent diagnosis our family doctor suggested her to consult a cardiologist as she is having sever lung infection and also mentioned that she has mild cardiomegaly and her aorta shoes atheromatous calcification at its knuckle, mild diffuse osteopenia and dorsal spondylosis Sir do you think that it is serious and please advice me what treatment should be done for this and what care should be taken for her during her treatment.
Severe lung infection itself means it can be a serious situation. Appropriate antibiotics according to the clinical picture and cultures should help. Do consider viral or fungal etiology too. She may need cardiology and orthopedic consults for the respective problems.
