On TPN Through Broviact On Cadd Pump. Is It Ok To Go Without It ?

Okay so my brother is on tpn and it's 600mls through his broviact on a cadd pump. Here's the info about what's in it

Now would he be okay to go a night without it? He does it every night and it runs for 10 hours. Would he have to eat a lot of calories to make up for the missed nutrition? How many calories is in the bag?

Hi,

Based on the information you brother is on TPN and is given 600ml via broviact on cadd pump and want to know if he will be ok if not on it to night he runs its for 10 hrs.

Now let me answer your questions as they appear on screen.

1) If in case he is not able to take it for tonight it will be fine but make sure he gets it tomorrow about 900 ml for next 2 night. His reserve body stock will help him to be fine for a day. Please ask him not to do hard physical work. In case he feels dizzy call emergency services.

2) Now about the make up the lost calories you can have him on 900 ml per night for next two nights.

3) Total calorie in bag of TPN is around 2000 kcal.
