On And Off Depression, Feeling Low. No Relief From Escetalopram, Mirtazapene. Help

Hi I've had depression on and off for 6 years now first 4 years I was on escitalopram then they didn't work for me so went on 30 mg of mirtazapene and was fine for about 7 months then went depressed again so wnt up to 45 MSG of mirtazapene and after about 10 weeks I still don't feel any better I'm cryin nearly everyday feelin low and wishing I wasn't here anymore but I don't really wanna die I've been back doctors twice an they didn't wanna change tablet

Hi there, thanks for asking. A very good way to manage the depressed mood is to add talk sessions (psychotherapy) to the medication. The therapist can look at your situation as well and address the possible stress factor that is affecting the brain and is changing its efficacy. I wish you the best mood.
