On And Off Swelling In Neck, Fatigue, Feeling Of Constricted Neck, Heavy Bleeding During Periods. TSH, T3, T4 Normal. Thyroid Problem?
Should i be concerned about an abnormal antithyroid antibody test result? My tsh , t3,free f4 and t4 are normal. I feel tired alot, my neck feels swollen occasionally. My neck feels constricted as if I am wearing a turtleneck at times, usually around my menstral cycle. Im not sure if that has any correlation but I also have heavy bleeding during my menstral cycle.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Many people with hypothyroidism never test positive for antithyroid antibodies. Also, people who test positive for antithyroid antibodies may never develop hypothyroidism. As your TSH T3 & T4 are with in normal range your thyroid is functioning normally. During menstrual period mood swings are common due to hormonal changes. Your history of feeling swelling in neck and tightness could be due this. Get your eye examination done as there is associated eye disease with thyroid auto antibodies( Graves ophalmophathy). Regular monitoring for thyroid hormone level is useful. heavy bleeding are seen in thyroid problems, but get examined by gynecologist to rule out other uterine problems by D&C of endometrium.
Hope this helps you
