On Hypertension Treatment, Suffering From Sinus Infection, Have Nasal Bleeds In The Morning. Treatment Required?
I have had a sinus viral infection for a few months...seems to be clearing up, but now for the last 4 mornings I ve been woken up by a nosebleed...seems to be coming from the far back of my nose...I m 52 and am being treated for hypertension ...would like to know if this is something I need to see a doctor for ASAP, or can wait a few days to make an appointment...

Since the bleed is persistent, you must see your doctor on priority. This may be a result of hypertension/ medications/ infection. Since the blood coming from nose can be aspirated and can go to lungs, it is considered important to start treatment at the earliest.

Although infrequent, high blood pressure can cause nose bleed and is almost never the only reason. From the information you have provided, looks like your healing sinus infection may have dried your nasal mucosa and could have caused the bleed. Even though your condition does not sound urgent, it won't hurt to get your nose bleed examined by your primary physician.
