On Implanon, Breastfeeding. Sudden Bleeding, Nausea, Mood Swings. Could This Be The Starting Of Periods?

Hi I have been using the implanon for the past 6 years this is my 4th after 3 children and 1 miscarriage while on implanon. I have been on this one and still breastfeeding for 18 monthd all of a sidden this morning and all day I have started bleeding bright red blood I feel nauseous and extremely irritable could this be just my period coming back or a pregnancy for three days before the bleeding started I had a lot of mucous discharge

Hello ma'am and welcome.

As for the implanon, I would like to ask you when your doctor asked you to return to get your implanon taken out and a new one reinserted. Please check on this and schedule an appointment.

As for the bleeding, this could be a withdrawal bleed, a returning period due to an expiring implanon or even just a late sude effect of the implanon. Do visit your doctor for further evaluation.
