Operation For Intersphincteric Abscess And Hemorrhoids, Pressure Sensation, Painful, Incontinence. What Sis The Cause?
Hi, my husband has had an operation for intersphincteric abscess and haemorrhoids day before yesterday. He has difficulty passing motion as in it doesnt get released in one go and he feels the pressure building up very frequently which makes it a painful experience and puts a pressure on the scar. Also a little bit of stool gets out when he passes gas. He is facing incontinence. Please suggest what food should I give him so as to relieve him from this problem?? Any other medication/ supplement you would recommend. Please help as having to go to toiletagain and again is causing him lot of pain and is also delaying the recovery.
Sorry to hear about your husband's problem. These symptoms are quite common after perianal surgery and they usually subside within a week or so. You should give him a laxative, which will help him pass stools comfrotably (Duphalac or Looz 2tsf in the night) along with isabghola husk. The incontinence will reduce with time. He should also do Sitz bath (sitting in a tub of hot water) twice a day. this will help in reducing the pain and inflammation.
Hoping for the best.
