Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Our baby of 14 months was born at 25 weeks, He has just underwent a multislice multidetector scan through the brain with multiplanar reconstructions on soft tissue and bony windows. The findings ara: 1. Global atrophic changes with prominent CSF spaces and ventricles 2. Prominent posterior surface CSF hygromas within the high posterior parietal lobes, larger on the left raising the possibility of areas of macrocystic gliosis from previous insult/atrophy.
Kindly explain these findings and advise on what to do or expect in terms of development and health.
