Overdue Expected Date, Pain, Mottling Of Legs. Concerned? What Should I Do?

My friend is 5 days overdue her expected due date and she is having some pain but has described some mottling of her legs and said they are purple in colour.i don t want to alarm her as she wants to stay at home as long as possible before labour starts properly but I am concerned about this symptom.can you advise please.

Mottling of the legs is definitely not a sign of labour.
In fact it is not normal.
SHe should consult her doctor, because purplish discolouration could indicate venous thrombosis.
It could signify some rare skin disease, or purpura due to deficiency of platelets.
In any condition, it is not a common or normal finding.
Besides, being 5 days overdue, she should definitely consult her OB GYN.
