i am premenopausal and am experiencing pain during intercourse and bleeding after intercourse. in addition, i am recently experiencing a gush of yellow fluid that stains my underwear. i dont have any itching and have never had any stds. went to gyn and cant find anything? i am concerned because ive never experienced these symptoms before

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
Bleeding after sex is not a normal finding needs to be evaluated. It could be due to:
1. vaginal dryness (atrophic vaginitis) caused by reduced vaginal secretions due to reduced hormones as you are in perimenopausal state.
2.Infection such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or a sexually transmitted infection (STI) such as chlamydia, which can be diagnosed from smear test done from vaginal secretions.
3. Cervical or endometrial polyps, Which can be seen by per speculum examination of pelvis.
4.Cervical ectropion where there is an inflamed area on the surface of the cervix.
Consult gynecologist and get cervical screening test done and discharge study done.
