Pain From Breast Bone To Back. Taking Tylenol, Ibuprofen. Should I Meet A Doctor Immediately?

I have been having increasing pain that starts at the breast bone and wraps around to my back. it occured to me that I may have broken a rib a few days ago. Should I go to the hospital ER for this or should I wait until morning and call my regular DR. I've been taking tylenol and ibuprofen and it is not touching the pain.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us

After fracture rib , it will take 2-3 weeks for relief of symptoms and healing process. Increasing pain seems to be due to improper rest to the area. As you already taken Tylenol and ibuprofen and it does't help, it is better to consult your doctor for proper evaluation. Till then take proper rest.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
