Pain In Cervical Spine, Scan Done. Is My Report Normal?
I have pain of cervical spine Posterior disc bulge with left paracentral protrusion involving C6- C7 intervertebral disc indenting thecal sac and causing abutting of left exiting nerve root & posterior disc bulge with bilateral paracentral protrusion involving C5-C6 intervertebral disc indenting thecal sac and causing mild indentation of cervical spine cord with minimal abutting of left exiting nerve root&in also problems at C4-C5 &C3-C4
According to reports your have degenerative disease of spine
1. At C6-7 level, you have posterior disc bulge with protrusion in left Para central position causing indentation of thecal sac and it is abutting left exiting nerve roots.
2.At C5-6 level there is also posterior disc bulge with bilateral Para central protrusion causing minimal abutting of left exiting nerve root.
3.There is also problem at C4-C5 &C3-C4 level.
Treatment includes physiotherapy or surgical.
Effectiveness of both modalities are same. So,physiotherpay should be tried first. It causes strengthening of Para spinal muscles and it prevents further changes.
Surgery should be the last option.
There are also medicines available for pain relief.
Get well soon.
Take Care
