Pain In Chest On Right Side, Feels Sore. Having Cervical Spodoytics. Cause Of Pain?

Hi there I am 55 years old and today after walking for about an hour all of a sudden I had a pain in my chest on the right side and after sitting down for a few mins, I was fine again and was able to continue my walk. My chest feels a bit sore so I am not sure if it is muscle or heart. I do have cervial spodoytics so not sure if it is related.

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. This is just to educate you that , visceral pains (i.e pain arising from the heart) are generally "diffuse" in nature distributed across wide area whereas pain arising from muscles will be well "localised" and one can point out with a finger.
Pain in the chest due to exertion (like walking, running, climbing stairs) could be due to cardiac cause whereas pain occuring during specific movements could be related to muscle spasm.
As you are elderly patient, I suggest you to get evaluation by a physician about your problem. Hope this helps
