Pain In Head. MRI Normal. Unable To Move Tongue Properly. Has Orolingual Dystonia, Medicine Not Effective. Cure?
My uncle(63 years old) has been doctoring since last 3 years regarding the head problem. MRI brain report was found normal. but he had been complained about pain still in head so he was hard to sleep. Then we consulted Psychiatrist but nothing has been improved. .A few days back, as the uncle has unable to move his tongue properly and while chewing he often bites his lips or tongue, we went to Neuro Medicine. The consult doctor said that he belonged to OROLINGUAL DYSTONIA n he said that it would take time to cure. He took some medicines but nothing is improved but the doctor told us to continue to take the medicine. So i would like to know what exactly Orolingual dystonia is! and in his condition, we really don't know what to do. Please share me some suggestions. Thanks a lot! regards, SANTOSH from India
HI Thank for asking to HCM This is may not be a Orolingual dystonia, because in this condition tongue does not moves properly or the movement of tongue and jaws became sluggish, so the question of biting of tongue is out of the question, it is being described by you people that he is unable to move the tongue, but that may not be the case, I would advise you to see the dentist, just have advise from dentist take care. have nice day.
