Pain In Head, Drooping Left Eye, Blurred Vision. Doesn't Feel Like Migraine. Any Ideas?
I have been dealing with pain in my head...and my left eye droops. My vision is blurry in that eye. I was inpatient at a hospital at beginning of the year for a whole other reason and it happened there. They rushed me for a ct scan ... worried that I may have had a stroke. The ct showed nothing. Went to an ophthalmologist and he saw nothing. I finally had an mri that my neurologist had been trying to tell me I needed yesterday. Do you think it is anything serious. The doc says he feels its probably a migraine...but it doesn't feel like a migraine. I'm a female, 37 years of age. Don't have time for this. Full time single mom, full time bread winner, and full time student. Any thoughts?
Hello, Welcome to Healthcaremagic. Probably you had what calle Transient Ischemic attack (TIA). What happens in TIA is blood flow to part of the brain is blocked or reduced, often and cleared in short time. But in Stroke, it is permanent. Thats why you do not find any changes in CAT or MRI scan. You need further investigations like carotid doppler to your blood flow complete blood count. ECG and Echocardiogram for further workup. Check your blood sugar regularly.
If carotid vessels are too narrow, you may need endarterectomy or stenting. Check your blood cholesterol and blood pressure too.
Then consult your neurologist. Hope this helps. Take care. If any doubt, Kindly reply.
