Pain In Knee, Extremely Obese, Had Epicondylitis Before. Anything I Can Do ?
I have had epicondylitis before, and now have pain in my knee that is very similar. I am extremely obese so know losing weight would help, but this is really interfering with my daily life, I actually think it started when I marked exams all day everyday in the same seated position for more than a week. Is there anything I can do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello.
Thanks for posting your query.
It seems you might developed bursitis over knee due to constant friction over it.
I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination, proper diagnosis and treatment plan according to that.
Meanwhile give rest to your knee , you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin 1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily) to reduce pain and inflammation.
Wishing you good health
Regards.
