Pain In Left Feet With Swelling. Change Of Medicine By Cardiologist. Suggestions?
i am 67 . I have been using Amlogard 5 since last five years . Now , since last one month my present Cardiologist has included OLMARK 20 also (which is a substitute for Olmezest 20). On 20th April last I suddenly developed pain in my left feet with some swelling which continues till date inspite of external application of IODEX.. Other medicines I take are- Clavix AS 75 one daily at 9 pm. Arvast 10 one at 9 pm daily, Gemer P 1 one before breakfast daily.
Pain and swelling can be due to many different potential causes such as : (1) inflammation or arthritis in the joint itself (2) trauma to that foot , (3) venous disease ,since the pain is only in one foot then those 3 causes are most likely
(4) side effect of medications , some medication such as the amlogard can actually cause or worsen swelling in the feet but this would usually involve both feet
(5) heart, liver or kidney disease- all of these can result in swelling of the lower limb but again it would usually involve both and there would usually be other symptoms
You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment which may include referral for an Xray.
I hope this helps
