Pain In Lower Left Abdomen Area And Left Testicle, Pain In Retro-peritoneal Area. What Could It Be ?
Hi Doctor, I have been experiencing some pain in my lower left abdomen area as well as the bottom of my left testicle . I visited a physician and she said I might have a hernia , I have all the symptoms of one but no bulge anywhere. I m afraid it might be testicular cancer , because I read that they have the same symptoms. Although I have no lumps only the bottom of my left testicle feels tender and when I push I begin to feel a dull ache. My Retroperitoneal area has been aching the past 2 days and my lower left abdomen and my back aches. What could this potentially be?
Your anxiety is fair. Your presentation does resemble that of a hernia and if a surgeon has examined you, then he would be able to make a clear diagnosis of the condition.
An abdominal and pelvic ultrasound can also help greatly in establishing the diagnosis.
In case the ultrasound does not return with conclusive results and a hernia has been ruled out, you could request your doctor to conduct and ultrasound of the testicles. This is a simple and safe method, which not only helps to show a lump (if present) in the testes, but also to view presence of fluid within the lump, or a solid lump.
I am sure there is nothing to worry about and your visit to your doctor will be a relieving one.
For the time being, do not strain or stress. Just relax.
Wishing you good health.
