Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Ainash Singh's Response
Hello Sir,
Thank you for writing to us.
Sometimes healing of the soft tissues and muscles may a take long time, and in many cases the shoulder injury may develop secondary (post injury) periarthritis or even lead to adhesive capsulitis (also called Frozen shoulder). It is most common in patients more than 40 years of age, and they often experience the pain which worsens in the night. Tingling is commonly not directly related to the condition. It may be due to the predisposing cervical problems or entrapment of the nerve in the inflammed tissues.
I am sure your doctor will be taking the necessory steps. Hot fomentation might be helpful in long term effects as it will increase the local blood circulation and help in healing. See if there is some stiffness or restriction in the range of motion of the shoulder. In that case you may like to visit a physiotherapist.
Avoid jerky and sudden movements, take care not to lie on the affected side.
I hope you find it helpful.
