Pain In The Hands After A Fall. Not Able To Put Pressure. What To Do?

Hi, I fell about 10 days ago hard on my arms/hands and hurt my wrist (among other things!). It still hurts when I bend/move it and I haven't been able to put pressure on it (doing yoga or something like that). I don't really notice any swelling or bruising on the wrist but the pain hasn't really improved. What could be wrong with it?

hi there, first of all I would like to know your age. Also did you fall on an extended wrist? I think you need to get an x-ry done to rule out any fracture as it is one of the most common consequence following a fall on the wrist especially in the elderly. If x-ray doesnot show any fractures then you can use a pain killer and try and keep your hand in a sling and within 2-3 weeks it should be functional. usually soft tissue injury heals fast but if there is any tendon injury it will take longer to heal. Do not neglect and get it investigated. Take care.
