Hello I am male 44 year, past few weeks i am getting pain in my left leg only(heel area), in the lower portion of my foot having very much pain, not able walk/stand with my left leg support for some time. This is more appears when i get up in the morning, some time if i'm siting for long, i feel some pain. Once i start walking the pain i don't feel much. Is it problem of some sort of blood not reaching that area? if yes please advise how to solve this pain permanently.? Please advise , Regrad Bunty
Hello bunty, you have typical features of a condition called "Plantar fascitis". This is a simple but chronic (long lasting) problem which can make you crippled at times. As you thought, its not related to poor circulation. There is no single sure shot treatment method for this problem. Let me give you a few tips which might be of help -
. Cut down your weight if you are obese
. Before getting out of the bed, just do self massage of the heel region for few minutes
. Use soft heeled foot wear
. Analgesic antiinflammatory drugs
If the above regimen didnt help you much, then you might need a long acting steroid injection into your heal which should be given only by qualified orthopedic surgeon. Hope i made it clear for you. Bye
