Pain In The Knee. Could This Be Due To The Circumcision? Diagnosed With Chondomalacia Patellae
Hi I am 30 year old. I've been experiencing pain in my left knee and i am doubtful this might be due to circumcision that I got done last year in May. Doctor suggested its Chondromalacia Patellae grade IV after the MRI examination. Is it just my assumption or Is there any chance that this knee pain is due to the circumcision where some nerve or something might have got affected???There is also a grating and clicking noise when I take stairs/apply pressure on the knee. There is no association between knee pain and circumcision. No nerve is cut during circusmicion,only a small portion of skin of glance called as prepuce is cut. Nerve supply or blood supply to knee doesn't pass through penis and there is hell of difference between the nerve supply of knee and penis. From the symptoms you have described, it seems your Doctor is right in his diagnosis that your suffering from chondromalacia patellae.

There is absolutely no relationship between circumcision and the development of knee pain.
Chondromalacia -Gr 4 definitely need treatment as follows -
*maintain optimum body weight
*avoid extreme flexion of knee
* regular quadriceps exercises
* analgesic medications
