Pain In The Knee. Had A Knee Reconstruction Surgery In The Past. Broken Fibula To Straighten The Leg. Suggestions?
about 12 years ago i had a knee reconstruction on my right leg, to straighten the leg they had to brake my fibula which still broken now. i did ask at the time about it, but they said only 5% of my body weight goes through it so don`t worry about it, over the years i have lived with it but lately i have been getting sharp pains and a small amount of pain all the time. is it normal?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Your fibula was fractured 12 years ago. It is unlikely that the bone would not have healed by now. The malunion may cause the pain at the site at the time of stress. Getting an X-ray of the area will help in better evaluation.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
