Pain In The Lower Abdomen, Bloating, Delayed Periods. Pregnant?
I stopped birth control in march which I had been on for 18 years. I had my first period (after stopping bc) a week late. My second period is now late 11 days. My husband and I had unprotected sex 2 times. I tested negative for pregnancy on 2 home tests and am having cramps, lower abdomen pressure and bloating, and feel like I am going to start but never do. Could I be pregnant or is it my body trying to get back to a regular ovulation schedule?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
A pregnancy test will usually turn positive about 2-3 weeks after conception. So if it has been at least that long since the last episode of unprotected intercourse, then you are not pregnant.
In all likelihood, there is some irregularity in terms of IF or WHEN you are ovulating. If this continues, you should contact your doctor for an evaluation.
I hope that this helps. If you have more questions, please click on "ASK ME A QUESTION" link above to directly ask me a question!
Hi, Thanks for your query. The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex, because you have stopped taking birth control pills and having sex without protection. You should consult a gynecologist to rule out pregnancy by blood test and ultrasonography. The chances of disturbances of menstruation occur after stopping birth control pills. GOOD LUCK. Take care.
