Pain In The Ovary. Ovary Removed Due To Functional Cyst, Endometrium Hyperplasia. Further Treatment?
I had an ovary removed due to functional cyst 10cm and was also diagnosed with endometrium hyperplasia 21mm
now I have had pain in remaining ovary / mild and think its a cyst. should I return to the doctor.
ps surgery done 3 months ago and all seems normal with period except for menstruation being more painful and cramping

An ultrasound of the pelvis can be done to know the status of the contralateral ovary.
Pain in the ovarian region can be due to many causes.
Mild pain is associated with ovulation.
Endometriosis of the ovary can also be associated with pain.
Ovarian cysts are asymptomatic but they may become symptomatic in some cases.
Removal of the ovary may be required if the symptoms are severe.
Painful and cramping menstruation is called dysmenorrhea.
Pain killers like mefenemic acid is commonly used for dysmenorrhea.
You can consult your local practitioner for prescription of the pain killer for dysmenorrhea.
there is nothing to worry about it, it is a common problem.
